La Penita, Mexico is fast becoming an RV and camper beach paradise. For travelers seeking a vacation spot that’s not overcrowded and offers a glimpse of rural Mexico, La Penita is the place to go. The town has grown enough to accommodate the increasing number of tourists who visit its shores each year without losing its small town appeal but still offering enough vacation rentals and RV parks to fit any budget and preference.
If your vacation plans include being close to the beach, then you’ll most likely prefer having seaside accommodations near the ocean. Beachfront rentals are usually more expensive since they offer additional benefits such as being near the beach, having a swimming pool, offering free Internet access to guests, and featuring upscale rooms with air conditioning and extra amenities.
Nearly all beachfront rentals have an ocean view, but not all ocean view rooms have direct beach access. On the other hand, there’s more privacy in an ocean view room than in a beachfront rental, since the beach has more passersby and socializers. Ocean view rooms offer beautiful views of the beach and ocean without all the noise and activity of staying that close to the beach, although a slightly longer walk to the beach may be necessary.
A wide range of vacation rentals are available with multiple bedroom and bathroom combinations. Rentals start as small as a studio and one bedroom, although there are rentals with two, four, six bedrooms and up. Some vacation rentals are divided into several smaller units. For example, one rental has the main house, two large bedrooms, and a smaller bungalow (or casita) by the ocean. Depending on the time of year (high season versus low season), room size, rental location and sophistication, plus the number of amenities and services offered, prices may vary considerably. Vacation rental prices drop during the months of May through October and rise during the fall and winter months, including the Christmas and Easter holidays. Weekly and monthly rates are also available at some rentals, so be sure to ask.
